As it turns out, the two murdered boys were awful people who had no qualms about spiking friend’s drinks and distributing a girlfriend’s nudes to the entire school. While his plan somewhat works, the possession gets the attention of the Afterlife’s Lost and Found department who’ve been searching for the two detective boys. Dead Boy Detectives centers on Edwin and Charles, based on characters from The Sandman comics, and their new psychic friend, Crystal. After the trio travels to the sleepy town of Port Townsend to solve a case, they find themselves rather trapped there. Their whole conversation there, which starts with Amanda saying Danielle thinks she’s stupid, is them trying to hype Amanda up, tell her that she is a great designer, a great partner, and a great friend. The next morning, the two talk about how they go after boys and what Danielle meant by the conversation, and they’re on the same page. There is something I have not given Ciara enough credit for this summer, and that is that her room has been much cleaner. The father is an abusive control freak who reminds Charles of his upbringing. Charles’s emotional investment in the case gets him also stuck in the loop.
Unfortunately, they blow the test, but Dominika pleads that she loves House and asks that he not be punished. Immigration gives them one more chance, but it means they have to live together for real. To House's surprise, he enjoys spending time with Dominika and when her citizenship is granted, he keeps this knowledge from her so she will stay. House gets the money to re-fund his department by pawning a piece of hospital equipment to bet on the market. Chase eagerly returns, and even Taub prefers the excitement of saving lives to the routine of fixing noses. However, House initially tries to reconnect with Thirteen, he finally sends her off with her girlfriend to live in Greece.
With one new team member established, he soon meets a bright but timid resident, Chi Park, and adds her to his growing entourage of no-cost doctors as well. He receives a cold welcome from James Wilson, but after a cathartic punch to the nose, the two men reconnect. When the hospital's coroner (Jamie Elman) begins slicing his own scalp open, he is admitted but will only accept medical care personally decided on by House.
